- Behaviour for Learning: Implement positive behaviour strategies that empower students to manage their own emotions and engage with their peers.
- Strategic Leadership: Manage a classroom team of LSAs and TAs, ensuring that 1:1 support is targeted and effective.
- Collaborative Care: Liaise with the SENCO, external therapists, and families to ensure that every student's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a living document that drives their success.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (ECTs with strong SEND placement experience are welcome to apply).
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Proficiency in using alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Visual Timetables) is highly desirable.
- A resilient nature and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
